Micro-needling at Home

Part One

I’m sure you have heard of micro-needling, but if you haven’t it has gotten quite a lot of attention in the beauty industry lately. It is a procedure where a needle/needles prick the skin at varying depths to help promote collagen production. It can help with fine lines, acne scarring, and firmness to name just a few. There are lots of different tools on the market; some have a battery, some don’t, some have a single needle and some have multiple! I’m not going to go into all the different types here but I do want to share my journey as I start it.

I did a lot of research on the tool I wanted to get; I knew I wanted something I could use at home because I wanted to keep the cost relatively low. After nearly buying a dermaroller I decided on the Derminator 2!

This is going to be the start of my journey and experience using it but so far I have only completed one session. I put it off for a few months because I was not only scared of how painful it would be but also the noise of the machine!

I plan on posting updates every so often and let you know what I think. However, I will say after completing my first session last night it was not that bad! I did not use a numbing cream and set mine on medium at 0.5 mm.

Check back in a few weeks for my next update!
