There is a lot to see in Reykjavik! One of the nice things is that everything is pretty much in walking distance.

The main one, or first one that comes to most peoples mind will be Hallgrímskirkja. It is very impressive. When you go in you can go to the left to the gift shop to get tickets to go up to the top. The line can be pretty long because there is just one tiny elevator to take people up. However, the views are definitely worth the wait!

Make sure to also take a look around inside because this church has a huge pipe organ inside.

For those of you who want something a bit different there is the Icelandic Phallologocial Museum….You can go by the Presidential Offices.
On one of the days back in November when our tour got canceled we were looking through the guide book at what we could go do…we found this Chocolate tour. I don’t have any pictures but if you like chocolate this is the place for you! Another nice thing about the tour is it is free!

If you are looking for another free activity there is a large lake outside of city hall. I would recommend taking a walk over there if you have time. It is beautiful.

Lastly, don’t forget to check out the many bars, coffee shops, restaurants and shops in Reykjavik.
