Buggy/ATV Tour

If you are looking for another tour to do in Iceland I have a great option for you. A two hour Buggy Tour! We stumbled upon this tour by accident. When I was there in November the original tour I booked got canceled (snowmobiling on a glacier) because of road closures. While walking around town we popped into a shop looking for something to do. The gentleman in a shop recommended a buggy tour. He said he had just done it last week and it was a lot of fun.

We booked for the tour the next day at 2pm. We scheduled a pick up because we didn’t have a car. They picked us up in front of City hall and the drive to the location was only about 20 minutes away. Once we arrived the provided us with a snowsuit to keep us warm, a balaclava and a helmet. Once ready it was time to get in the buggy! The guides give you all the information you need to know about driving and then your all set!

The views out in the valley are amazing!

We did have one slight mishap where the buggy in front of me got stuck on a steep incline. The guides had to help dig and pull them out!

We headed back in at 4pm just as the sun was setting. Once we changed back into our clothes we hopped back on the van and headed back to Reykjavik.

That evening we headed to Brggjan Brughus for dinner. It is a brewery down by the water in Reykjavik. I recommend the fish & Chips! The restaurant had decorated beautifully for the holidays.

Overall it was a great considering it started out with a cancelation!
