Joules Quilted Navy Jacket

An oldie but a goodie for me – my Joules quilted jacket!

I got this jacket a few years ago (I believe as a Christmas gift) and still reach for it constantly when it is cold out. It is such a classic style that is great for casual everyday where. Also, mine has worn really well over the years that I have had it. I grabbed for it when I was taking Boss out for a quick walk the other day.

I guess since I was on the British theme with my outfit it makes sense I paired my jacket with my green Hunter wellies and my Radley umbrella (another Christmas gift)! Back when I was little and living in England we would go to the New Forest a lot. I would always wear wellies so that I could walk through the streams, mud and puddles! It was always great fun! Another great jacket by a British brand and one of my other favourites is this one! It has great hand warmer pockets!

Boots (They have LOTS of colours)

Umbrella – now on sale!

This is one of my favourite streets in Athens! I love the wonky cobbled pavements as well as the redish brick. All the houses on this street are beautiful – they have so much character and I enjoy looking at them as I drive/walk past! Years ago, when Boss was a puppy, I would walk him down this road. As soon as we got near the main road, at the end, he would stop dead in his tracks and just sit down! He would not move. I then had to scoop him up and carry him home!

I hope you all have a nice weekend!

Zara Dress and Camel Coat

Hello and Happy Monday,

You can never go wrong with a Camel Coat and it should be a classic pieces in your wardrobe. Let me show you how I styled mine.

But first – I hope you all had a nice Easter weekend! I spent it with my husband, in-laws and grandparent in-laws (is that a thing – i’m not sure of the proper name) so it was very relaxing. We had a big family lunch at Clarke’s Standard which is a new restaurant in downtown Athens (post coming soon) and then a home cooked lunch on Sunday! All very delicious.

I wanted to share with you a dress I picked up for a steal when I was in London. It was £12.99! We were up in London, on our way to dinner one evening and browsing some of the shops, when I found it. I paired the dress with a classic camel coat that has a fun pop of red to it, my OTK black boots and a toiletry bag that I use as a clutch.

Coat – 50% off! // Dress – I looked all over for the dress with no luck (similar, similar, similar) // Boots // Clutch – I have the medium size// Necklace (similar, similar)

Since I bought the coat in one size up I can also fit a blazer underneath. Therefore, I wore my tuxedo blazer that I got for a bargain here! I like that the blazer gives me the option to cover my shoulders even after taking my coat off. Especially, because this dress just has thin spaghetti straps.

I hope you all have a great week!

All Saints Skirt

I saw this All Saints skirt while I was doing some Christmas shopping a few days before Christmas. However, I decided to wait thinking it may go on sale after Christmas. I lucked out! I ordered it online in January at 20% off. It is a great black denim skirt that wraps around making it a little bit different. I paired it with my new favourite shirt which was a gift from my mum and it is the softest most comfortable shirt I have. They make it in a dress but I know the shirt borderlines on looking like pyjamas so I thought the dress crossed that line.
Skirt // Shirt // Bag – LV Pochette Metis // Boots
My Stuart Weitzman OTK boots are my most worn, favourite boots year after year and so it should be no surprise I paired this skirt and top with them. I just think they go with everything and make such a statement in a simplistic way.

Nordstrom Anniversary SALE

Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale

I wanted to take a quick break between my Amsterdam posts because as most of you know the Nordstrom anniversary sale opened to the public today. This is one of the biggest sales of the year and bloggers have been posting about it non-stop! I wanted to share with you all a few I got as well as some other fantastic deals I had to (very hesitantly) pass on (otherwise my bill would have been astronomical-it is so easy to do!).

Leggings are one of my go to items in the Autumn and winter. Simply pairing them with a white tee (or long sweater) and boots make for an easy and comfortable outfit. These leggings were rated just under 5 *’s and have over 2000(!) reviews. At $33 they seem like a steal! I can’t wait till they arrive so I can see if they are worth all the hype. I will keep you posted.

Leggings

I have been wearing my Valentino trainers I got back in March ALL the time. They are very comfortable and easy to pair with outfits. The fact that they are black means they go with everything. Well I saw these pumas included in the sale and thought they might be a nice backup to have.

Trainers

As I said above I LOVE an oversized sweater. This sweater looked so comfortable and I really liked the V neck because I can easily add a statement necklace to dress it up a bit. I ordered a size up so that it would be oversized. It comes in 4 colours and is also under $40!

Jumper

Lastly, I added the top to my basket because I liked the pattern and felt it could be easily dressed up for work or down with a pair of jeans. I’m a lttle hesitant on whether or not it is going to be too sheer but I will have to wait and see.

Shirt

Here are some other great deals they have….

You can’t go wrong with a pair of Rag & Bone boots! I also think this coat is Amazing! I think the camel colour is so chic! I love this earring. I have the Black and clear ones and wear them all the time. Isn’t this palette great…It contains everything you need for your cheeks (blush, bronzer and a highlighter). Check out some of my other picks above.

Make sure to check out the great deals at Nordstrom!! Let me know what you guys get!

Lots of Love,

Buffy xx

P.S. M. Gemi is also having a great sale if you are looking for beautiful shoes!

Wifey Grey T-Shirt

I received this Wifey t-shirt for Christmas and it has quickly become one of my favourite shirts to wear because it is so soft. See how I styled it below!

This gold bracelet was a Christmas gift from my sister (my husband received the guys version). The coordinates on the front are for the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Florida where we got engaged and then the back has the date we got married. Such a cool gift! The Union Jack charm was a gift I got in my stocking (also love this one). It is funny because my sister lives in England and she has the American Flag charm!

I hope you all have a great week!

Happy New Year (I’m still writing 2015 on everything and having to change that 5 to a 6, who else is still doing that?)!! I hope you all had a nice relaxing Christmas. I enjoyed mine with my husband, dogs and our families. It was so nice to have my family over from England and we also got the good news that my in-laws will be moving closer to us!

It has just recently become cold in Athens (Christmas Day it was 75 degrees!!) and so this is the perfect sweater, plus – who doesn’t love a comfy sweater paired with some boots! These OTK boots are made of a stretchy material so they mould to your leg and they feel like you are not wearing heels! I paired them with some of my favourite ripped jeans and a super soft sweater. It also just went on sale, what more could you ask for?!

I got these earrings for Christmas and I am so excited to wear them, I haven’t really taken them off. They are great for everyday and have a nice weight to them. This bag is classic and can be dressed up or down, plus it actually holds quite a bit. As you can tell from previous posts I usually opt. for gold accessories and hardware. When I saw these sunglasses though I fell in love and they match the silver hardware on this bag which is another bonus and a nice change!

How did everybody bring in their New Year? Have you guys set any New Years resolutions?

— Pauley’s Original Crepe Bar —

I had the chance to meet up with Virginia, a good friend of mine for Lunch today. Pauley’s in downtown Athens was our destination of choice since she had never been. When we sat down we started having a good chinwag and so it took us forever to order but when we did we, of course, over ordered.

Menu

We started with the Pesto Tartine (these are also good if you add chicken) however, I will say that the Chicken Tchoupitoulas are my favorite! You must try those if you go.

IMG_0998

For mains my friend had a Ceasar salad and I had the roast beef crepe. With this we both shared the smashed potatoes (so good and such a good idea!) and the pesto pasta salad (I’m a huge fan of pesto if you cannot already tell – my husband says I could live off the stuff).

IMG_1002 IMG_0999 IMG_1001 IMG_1000

There was definitely no room for dessert but the smores crepe is amazing if you save room. I am also partial to the peanut butter crepe.

After our bellies were full we had a little wander around downtown where we found this guy!

IMG_1008

After a few snaps we headed home with the promise of not waiting so long to see each other next time.

For those of you in Atlanta…keep an eye out because Pauley’s Atlanta opens soon! I cannot wait.

Lots of Love,

Buffy x

P.S. These boots are sooo comfortable and versatile. I love that you can dress them up or down and that they are a bit different…definitely a great piece and one that I have worn a lot. They come in a bunch of different colours in the suede and then also in a smooth black leather.

Bob Bob Ricard…

My husband (Corey) and I always try and find a new (fancy/different) restaurant to try whenever we venture back over the pond to good ol’ England. Last time it was his pick – Hawksmoor Seven Dials in Covent Garden (very good!). This time it was my turn to choose and Bob Bob Ricard was top of my list, it had been for about the last 4 months! I was excited not only to try the Russian inspired British menu it had on offer but also wear the new dress Corey had got me for my birthday.

We took the train up to London, looking as elegant as possible (as required), and made our way to Piccadilly Circus.

Bob Bob Ricard (BBR) was nestled between side streets right past the Golden Square (a historic square in the heart of soho). We were immediately greeted and sat as we walked in the dimly lit entrance way. Our table was a small booth close to the bar and it, of course, had the signature “Press for Champagne” button which I did end up pressing (cheeky – how can you not?). The interior of this place was ornate with a strong Art Deco theme. One word – Beautiful!

What followed was a great meal with some really tasty cocktails and drinks!

We started with -18 degrees Voht-kah (said in a Russian accent) shots before really taking a good look at the menu.

Apéritifs were ordered – I had a dirty Martini and Corey had a glass of white wine.

When the starters came we dug right in. We over ordered and so there was so much to choose from – Waldorf Salad, Sea bass Ceviche with avocado, oysters, and Truffled Siberian Pelmeni (a Russian inspired dish of dumplings filled with crab and lobster).

Shades of Green – Playsuit

Happy Monday Everybody! This is a continuation of my previous post. In that one you saw the makeup I wore to a wine dinner, well here is the outfit! It got this green playsuit (that looks like a dress from the front) a couple of months ago and have been really excited about wearing it. I thought the wine dinner was the perfect occasion.

I think this playsuit is great because it can easily be dressed up or down and can be worn year round. Here I just paired it with tights to help stay warm and heeled booties just to dress it up a bit. In the summer, minus the tights and add some sandals!

Here it is!

Playsuit 2

I will say I had to snap pictures the next day because when we left we were running late (not my fault) and it was too dark. The next day it was SO cold, I had a hard time keeping my jacket open and scarf not bundled around me. On top of that it was really windy! Yet, I still had a great time and thank you to my good friend Virginia for taking them for me!

P.S. I am not one to match my eye makeup (and earrings) to my outfit BUT it was all green and that is a favorite of mine – also I think the green eyeliner was subtle enough that it worked.
