Mini Lush Haul – Dragon’s Egg

I am back in England for the month and the other day my sister, my mum, and myself popped into Kingston for a few hours. Lush was the top of my list of places to stop by because I wanted to pick up a bath bomb. Since I only have showers in my condo back in Georgia I was really excited about getting a bath bomb. I love taking baths and always like being able to take them when I come home.Lush Bag1

My sister and I looked around for a bit and were throughly entertained by a party that was taking place! I ended up picking 2 things to try.

Lush Bags

The first thing I reached for was, of course a bath bomb. I decided to try the Dragon’s Egg (£3.35). I was attracted the the strong citrus scent. This one contains Lemon Oil, Bergamot, Jasmine Absolute, and Popping Candy. The Lemon Oil refreshes the mind and body, stimulates white blood cells, and is also antibacterial and antiseptic therefore helping to clear skin. The Bergamot gives the bath bomb a fresh, sweet, fruity scent which is said to give one a cheerful effect also easing tension and encouraging sleep. Lastly, the Jasmine Absolute is great for sensitive skin, muscular complaints, depression, and stress related conditions. (The popping candy just adds the popping sounds – making it more fun!)

I used this is the bath that night and as soon as I dropped it in it started fizzing (obviously). I didn’t really have a colour apart from a slight whitish colour. After a while it started to crackle and then all of the sudden it turned the water an orange-golden colour while also leaving the water slightly glittery. Overall, this bath bath really leaves your skin nice and soft and the citrus fragrance is refreshing and relaxing at the same time.

The second thing I picked up was a bath melt. I had not tried one of these before but they supposedly help soften the skin and with the cold winter air I thought it would be an ideal time to try.

I chose the You’ve Been Mangoed (£3.35) since I am a huge mango fan. This bar is made with Lemongrass, Lime and Lemon Oils as well as Cocoa, Avocado, and Mango Butters. The oils give it the fresh citrus scent and have the same properties and effects as the bath bomb above. The Lime Oil is one that is not in the bath bomb above and it is there to help boost circulation and remove dead skin cells. It also has antibiotic and antioxidant properties that help protect skin from pollutants and the sun. The Avocado butter is there to rehydrate the skin while the cocoa and mango butters take care of softening and moisturizing the skin.

This one also turns the water a slight golden orange colour and fizzes a little (more than I expected). It produces a few small bubbles that along with the water really leave the skin feeling soft! I think next time, instead of using the whole bar for one bath, I would cut it in half or even 3 pieces.

Overal both of these products were great (so far Lush has not disappointed)! Next on my list to try is the Space Girl bath bomb and the Blackberry bath bomb.

Do you guys have any Lush recommendations? I would love to hear them if you do – just leave them in the comments below.

Lots of Love,

Buffy xx
